Properties of Energy

What is a "Property"? In science, properties are usually things we can observe in matter. Like a rock, we might say the properties are small, hard, jagged, etc.
Property means a characteristic or a feature. For example, a Property of Light is that light travels in a straight line until it is reflected off an object or absorbed.
