Matanzas Estuary Monitoring

Picture

Our 2012 - 2013 class was fortunate enough to partner with the Whitney Lab for Marine Bioscience to study the Matanzas Estuary, issues facing the estuary, and what impact humans and mother nature have on the ecosystem.

While working with the Whitney Lab, the students had the opportunity to participate in many activities; studying organisms under microscopes, examining estuary animals in touch tanks, observing the habits of mud snails, and conducting water quality tests.
